Zion Stewards, Tomorrow morning is a work day at Zion School beginning at 8am to paint two classrooms. As a steward of God's resources, you must ask yourself a couple of questions. Has God entrusted some of His time to me this Saturday morning? What am I going to do with that time? As you think about the time you may or may not have, some will have bona fide reasons for not coming. Others will simply make excuses. How do God's stewards answer? What will happen during the time He has given? Will the time be used to expand His kingdom? Or will it be squandered with personal interests? Last month there was a work day to clean up the outside of the church. Four people showed up from our whole congregation. Ouch! When you think about coming tomorrow morning, consider this final thought. What happens at our school in the morning may look like painting and cleaning, but it will really be mission work. We want to create and maintain a learning environment where staff members can teach children about the tremendous love of Jesus Christ. Let's be good stewards of the time and resources entrusted to us by our God! If you want to continue a discussion on this topic, come tomorrow morning. Bring your brush so we can talk while we paint. God bless you!
Thank you, Pastor Mitteis, for being our faithful, hard-working, dedicated, and enthusiastic shepherd. God bless you.
Just a quick reminder.....Stewardship Basics Class Session Three meets tomorrow morning during the Sunday School hour in the school gym. The topic is Stewardship in Crisis. Bring your Bible and join us!
There will be no 7:15am service of meditation and prayer Monday morning due to the weather. We will read parts one and two of the Passion Drawn from the Four Gospels on Tuesday.

Dear Saints of Zion, This past Wednesday, the community of Harrisburg, IL was struck by an E4 tornado. Six people lost their lives and over 300 homes and businesses were destroyed. Nearby LCMS pastors and a disaster response team from Arkansas are assisting in the aftermath. Our Southern Illinois District has sent out a plea to our congregations to assist in relief efforts. My brothers and sisters, we have this awesome opportunity before us to show mercy to those who are suffering. I’d like to issue a CHALLENGE to Zion members to collect 100 towels and washcloths this weekend at our worship services to assist with those relief efforts. Please spread the word to other members of Zion about this special relief project for this weekend. This message is going out on our Google Group and on Facebook, but there are still plenty of folks who are not in the electronic pipeline of information. In addition to towels and washcloths I’ll present an additional challenge for you to bring a personal hygiene item as well, such as a toothbrush, tube of toothpaste or bar of soap. Thank you! This is a wonderful way that you and I can witness to the love of Christ as we show mercy to those in need. Of course, please keep all those affected by this tornado in your prayers as well. May God be with the people of Harrisburg and may He bless our efforts to assist them! In Christ, Pastor Fritsche
Lenten greetings from our LCMS President, Rev. Dr. Matthew Harrison.
Another great video from our LCMS President, Rev. Dr. Matthew Harrison.
As we remember three pastors this week (Timothy, Paul and Titus), we rejoice in God's gift of pastors. Your pastor is here to serve you! Pastor Buetow reminds our youth of the blessing that a faithful pastor is even to them!
The Missouri Synod needs Advent says President Harrison. Amen!
